LOS ANGELES—Gabbie Carter has received three nominations for the 2020 AVN Awards, including Best New Starlet.
In addition to Best New Starlet, Gabbie is up for Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene for Sex Machines (Manuel Ferrara/Jules Jordan) with Manuel Ferrara, and Best Group Sex Scene for “Try Me” in Relentless (Deeper/Pulse) with Riley Reid, Vicki Chase, Small Hands, Michael Vegas, Alex Jones and Oliver Davis.
Gabbie exploded onto the Porn Valley scene this spring, almost immediately becoming one of the industry’s foremost female performers. She shot her first professional scene April 2 and by May she was the subject of an extensive, fawning Fresh Faces feature on AVN.com (an abbreviated version appeared in the October issue of AVN Magazine).
Her quick rise came as a complete surprise to Gabbie, who had no intention of becoming an adult star, moving from Austin to Los Angeles with $30 and her resume hoping to find a job.
“I was really surprised with how quickly it escalated,” Carter told AVN in May. “I honestly just thought that I was going to come up here and do a scene and get money to get an apartment and have a normal job. And then it kind of just went from there and I got good bookings and people seem to like me. I don’t know why, but I can’t complain.”
No one is complaining about the young beauty’s arrival to Porn Valley and she has already shot for virtually every major company. She has more than 50 titles under her belt, more than 53 million views on Pornhub and 211k followers on Twitter.
“I’ve always been drawn to LA for some reason,” she told AVN. “When I was a kid I wanted to run away here. I packed several bags and was planning on taking the bus to LA because I just hated being in Austin. As soon as I came here, I was like, ‘This is where I’m supposed to be.’”
