CYBERSPACE—Adult cam platform Stripchat has released data showing a surge in the use of cryptocurrency on the site by both models and patrons over the past several months, including a massive 500 percent spike in the use of Dogecoin since Stripchat began accepting it in February.
Reported vice president Max Bennett, "Stripchat, which sees traffic of more than 400 million users monthly, today sees 20 percent of model payouts being executed via cryptocurrency. And we're not just seeing an increase in models accpeting the coins ... users are also topping up their accounts using crypto.
"Recently, the highest ($100k USD) record single tip on Stripchat was done using a crypto deposit," Bennett added.
