CAM4, KatesTube, FUBAR Webmasters Are New ASACP Featured Sponsors

LOS ANGELES—The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP), in its fight to help protect minors from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials online, has named CAM4, KatesTube.com and FUBAR Webmasters as its "Featured Sponsors" for October 2020.

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning said that the association encourages all online companies and organizations to assume a leadership role in the fight to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented materials by sponsoring ASACP and its proven successes, including those that happen behind-the-scenes.

“The ongoing COVID crisis continues to pose challenges for the industry and for our association as well, with little certainty towards the road ahead,” Henning said. “Upcoming virtual events may shed some light on this evolving situation and how it will impact our child safety initiatives as the industry moves forward."

“Through the proactive leadership of industry stakeholders, ASACP continues to provide free educational resources and safety tools,” Henning added. “Together, we are making a positive difference for today’s constantly-connected youth.”

The generous financial support that ASACP receives from its sponsors has powered its 24 years of success, and enabled its free child protection resources. These include market-specific Best Practices and a Code of Ethics for online businesses, app publishers and operators of adult and age-restricted websites.

ASACP’s RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta labeling system helps parents prevent their children’s access to countless adult-oriented webpages and mobile apps and is offered to all site and app publishers free of charge, as are all ASACP services, including its CP Reporting Tipline, which has received and processed well over 1 million user reports to date, thanks to the generosity of the nonprofit association’s sponsors and members.

For October, ASACP honors CAM4, KatesTube.com and FUBAR Webmasters as its Featured Sponsors, recognizing the commitment these companies make to keeping the internet safer for children and families.

CAM4

An ASACP Title Sponsor and Advisory Council Member whose support extends back to 2012, CAM4 is vigilant about online child protection, due to its operation of live video chat sites where minors not only attempt to access these platforms but by misrepresenting their age, attempt to become paid performers on them. ASACP offers a set of Best Practices tailored to the specific needs of live cam site operators, which CAM4 benefits from. CAM4 also takes additional measures such as the use of the RTA label to block children from its site; illustrating a caring, proactive approach to keeping children safe.

KatesTube.com

Since 2019, KatesTube.com has been a Corporate Sponsor of ASACP.

“We will cooperate with this organization in order to make the internet safer and cleaner to use,” a company spokesperson said. “We are not content creators, however, we monitor the site on a regular basis to ensure that we abide by all relevant policies and guidelines, such as 18 USC 2257."

“We encourage other tube sites to step up to an industry leadership role by sponsoring ASACP,” the spokesperson added. “Let’s work together to make a difference in online child safety.”

FUBAR Webmasters

An ASACP In-Kind Media Sponsor since 2009, FUBAR Webmasters offers an online resource site for all party, conference, convention, and event pictures and news relating to adult website owners, operators, affiliates and service providers.

“It occurred to me that the [photos] might be of interest to people who didn’t make it to the shows for one reason or another,” company owner JFK said of his desire to educate and entertain those operators working in the adult entertainment industry to protect children online.

“ASACP appreciates the generosity of its industry-leading sponsors, such as CAM4, KatesTube.com and FUBAR Webmasters, which empower the association to carry out its tireless mission to protect today’s constantly connected youth,” Henning summarized. “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors demonstrate that perseverance, positivity, proactive leadership and corporate responsibility continue to make a difference.”
