NEW YORK—This weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live took a hilarious detour into the realm of gay porn with a sketch that included a reference to gay studio CockyBoys.
In the sketch, host Sam Rockwell (of current awards darling Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) played the seemingly conservative father of a recently out man (Alex Moffat) bringing home his boyfriend (Chris Redd) for the first time ... and it just so happens that the boyfriend is a gay porn star who uses the stage name "Marco Pumpgood."
Throughout the sketch, Rockwell is trying to place where he recognizes Redd from, until it hits him: "You're a gay porn star!" He then lets loose with an effusion of excited acclaim for Pumpgood's work, bashfully confessing, "See I got confused earlier because you kinda look like Jason Thrust, but I thought no, no, he hasn't been with the CockyBoys for like, what, I don't know, three years? But you both went on that Palm Springs getaway together ... oh boy, as soon as I saw that trailer that's when I finally subscribed."
We won't spoil where things go from there, but earlier in the show, during the "Weekend Update" segment, anchor Colin Jost got off a good punchline about the controversy that broke Friday about the alleged hush money Donald Trump paid adult star Stormy Daniels prior to his presidential run, cracking, "At least there's one storm Trump will pay for," while a picture of Puerto Rico appeared beside him.
