Fresh Faces: Savannah Bond

LOS ANGELES—Savannah Bond learned a lot about the adult industry through various channels before making the leap this year.

She watched the After Porn Ends documentary and read AVN Hall of Fame performer Asa Akira’s two books—Insatiable: Porn—A Love Story (2014) and Dirty Thirty (2015) for starters.

“I love them,” Bond says. “I think she’s amazing. There were a few other books, too, and that just gave me a lot of education.

“And I was into the Holly Randall [‘Unfiltered’] podcast as well. So that I believe was what pushed me to come over because it really expanded my mind on it.”

Bond’s research also included watching clips from the AVN Awards Show on YouTube and checking out Pornhub videos on occasion.

“I would watch probably for like five minutes at a time just to like cum, but I wouldn’t watch a whole scene,” she admits. “I still don’t…I like doing it though.

“Or I would watch trailers on [JulesJordan.com]. I love trailers because they offer everything—just like the visual of it. They look cool and I see them as more of an artistic thing. But still super hot.”

The former exotic dancer from Melbourne, Australia, at post time had more than 25 scenes on her resume—almost all for high-profile brands and eight so far for the Hall of Fame producer/director Jules Jordan. Her credits also include performances for Elegant Angel, Naughty America, Brazzers and Girlfriends Films and Mike Adriano’s Nympho.com and TrueAnal.com.

She opened a dialogue with Jordan on Instagram more than a year before she decided to shoot for him.

“I did talk to Jules a little bit and then I was looking more and more into porn and then I was like, I should just like do it,” Bond tells AVN.

Jordan shot Bond’s first six sex scenes during her virgin trip to Los Angeles, where she landed in February and stayed for two months. She made her debut with the six-time AVN Male Performer of the Year Manuel Ferrara in a movie called Thick for Jules Jordan Video.

“It was awesome. I had a great experience,” says Bond, who is represented for bookings by porn super agent Mark Spiegler. “I think Manuel’s great to work with for a first scene because he’s going to help you the entire way. And you don’t have to worry too much. … I was super lucky it wasn’t some crappy company or something.”

Clearly, that scene went well because Ferrara summoned Bond again for his own productions of Bounce 4, Manuel’s Fucking POV 11 and Raw 36 after that. Those titles are also distributed by Jordan.

When AVN caught up with Bond in late September she was more than halfway through her second trip to Porn Valley—a three-month stint that included six new bookings with Jordan as well as more than a half-dozen for other studios.

“I love Jules’ aesthetic,” Bond says. “He makes everything look really cool. Everything from the outfits to the way it’s done. There’s nothing that’s really fake. You pretty much get to do what you want.”

It’s why Bond has done three firsts for JJV—her virgin anal scene, courtesy of 2018 AVN Male Performer of the Year Markus Dupree; her first DP with Dupree and Jordan that appears in the 17th volume of his classic series Ass Worship; and her first interracial tryst in Dredd Up Your Ass 3. Thanks to her sizzling start, the curvaceous blonde earlier this month received a nomination for the fan-voted 2020 AVN Award for Hottest Newcomer.

“My first anal was really good as well because I felt like me doing anal on camera brought more out of me as a performer,” Bond reasons. “I was like way more alert and alive because I like it so much.”

She says once she started doing anal that producers wanted to see more and more—13 of her first 14 scenes during her second trip to L.A. involved anal.

“She did really great when she was here,” Mark Spiegler, who has represented six of the past seven AVN Female Performer of the Year winners, tells AVN. “Everybody really liked her. She’s obviously good looking and she does really good scenes, especially anal. Everybody said that.”

Bond says she felt zero nerves having sex on camera for the first time.

"Which is weird. I felt really comfortable and it really came naturally and I think that explained why I’m meant to be doing this,” she says.

One of her favorite scenes so far is for the new interracial brand Disciples of Desire, a line also distributed by Jordan, that entails her gettin’ down with Jax Slayher on the streets of downtown L.A.

“I wanted to work with Disciples of Desire for a little while now,” she says. “I didn’t know what was actually going to happen. I just knew it was going to be fun.

“They got a Tesla and we drove around in downtown with the [butterfly] doors up. … I thought if I get pulled over by the police then I’ll probably get sent out of the country. But the risk for me was kind of worth it.

“I like to do stuff like that—really intense scenes—because it’s such a creative outlet for me as well as being super slutty. When you put those together then it’s like the ultimate scene for me. So that to me is always going to be one of my favorite things I’ve done and I’ve done it so soon which is cool.”

In the Disciples of Desire scene, Bond blew Slayher and let him bang her in the backseat; and then they moved their extended session to a bathroom and bed.

“And he pissed all over me and in my mouth and stuff. It was super intense,” she says.

“[Jax] actually asked me before the scene if I’d be OK with that and I’m fine with that. …  I’ve done it before for content, but it was the first time where it was like a lot going into my mouth.”

Bond earned a certification to do makeup and skincare in Melbourne, holding down jobs in the beauty business before stripping for three years in Australia—first at Goldfingers in Melbourne and then at Showgirls in Sydney.

“I think dancing introduced me to being more sexual,” she says. “And I was like, I can’t be a dancer forever but I can make something of myself with porn that will have a long-term impact on my life. And then I came over and I did it and it was even better than I expected.

“So I love it. It makes me happy. I’m super passionate about it and yeah, I just need to move here.”

The 29-year-old performer says one of the reasons she likes her career choice is there is “lots of opportunity.”

“There’s so much to do and a large variety of people so you can do or be whatever you want and that’s what I like about it,” she adds.

Bond studied beauty therapy in Melbourne before landing a gig at a skincare and makeup counter at a mall. Then she began working at a pharmacy, where she managed the cosmetics section. But it was while she was at the pharmacy that she had an epiphany of sorts.

“I just walked out on my lunch break and I was like, ‘I need to be in the sex industry.’ And I didn’t go back,” Bond says. “I said to them, ‘I’ve got some health issues and I won’t be able to return again.’

“It was like it just came over me and I was like, I need to leave and go be a dancer and make money. That was when I was 24.”

She continues, “I was very loyal to all my jobs and always showed up on time and worked a lot. And then yeah, I don’t know. I was like really fed up. But they were nice. They were like, ‘That’s fine. We understand and hope that everything’s OK.’”

Bond at the time of this interview had yet to meet Angela White, the two-time AVN Female Performer of the Year from Sydney who is also a Spiegler Girl.

“I hope to meet Angela soon and I really hope to work with her,” Bond says. “We would do well together I think.”

When she’s not on set she likes going to the gym, running, reading and hitting the beach. But for the most part, she says, “I’m very work focused.”

“That’s all I kind of care about,” she says, adding that she is into healthy eating and enjoys cooking nutritious meals.

“If I’m healthy, then I feel good. So anything healthy,” she says.
