HOLLYWOOD — Following up the runaway success of Not the Bradys XXX might seem like a very tall order, but with the cast adult studio X-Play has put together for Not Bewitched XXX, it could have an even bigger hit on its hands.
Filling the lead role of Samantha will be perennial fan favorite Jenna Haze, and as her daughter, Tabitha, the one-and-only Teagan Presley has signed on.
But wait ... isn't Samantha supposed to be blonde, and Tabitha supposed to be a kid? Yes, indeed they are, but this is the magic of moviemaking, and while the first issue will very simply be solved with a blonde wig, the second will be addressed by decidedly more clever means.
"What happens is Aunt Clara decides to see what Tabitha's going to look like as an 18-year-old and puts a spell on her, and she's so dumbfounded, she can't remember the spell and can't turn her back, and she's stuck as a bombshell," director Will Ryder explained to AVN. "Tabitha is turned into a sex-obsessed bombshell, and it's really, really going to be funny."
On Haze playing Samantha, Ryder offered, "She might not be an obvious choice, but she was the right choice. We're not looking for dead look-alikes, but we're creating an ensemble cast. And she's been great. She's been coming in for fittings and wardrobe, and she's totally stoked. She's really excited for this role."
One person, though, who actually does fit her part to a 't' physically, according to Ryder, is Nina Hartley, who'll be playing Endora. "In the red wig and the outfits that we have, holy shit," Ryder said. "She is Endora."
Porn legend Ron Jeremy is also on board as Dr. Bombay, and other confirmed cast members are: Reigning AVN Best Actress – Video Eva Angelina, Female Performer of the Year Sasha Grey, Aurora Snow, Sunny Lane, Michelle Avanti and Jenny Hendrix.
"I can't wait to make this movie," Ryder said. "We're trying to continue the fun we started with Not the Bradys XXX, and in getting such a stellar cast, we're going to really give everybody an incredible fuck for their buck."
Not Bewitched XXX starts shooting March 17, and is scheduled to wrap March 25. It will be distributed by Adam & Eve Pictures, with a projected release in late summer.
