VAN NUYS, Calif. - Digital Playground has added 20-year-old Angelina Armani, a tall (5-foot-10, 34C) brown-eyed blonde New Yorker, to their already impressive lineup of exclusive contract girls.
Fittingly perhaps, the first time they laid eyes on her was at the Sept. 27 premiere of their blockbuster Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge in downtown Los Angeles, where she turned heads and attracted almost as much attention as better known stars.
"They said I rocked the red carpet," Armani told AVN. "It was a great night. Such a good movie! I had no idea they even saw me there."
But they did. Samantha Lewis, Digital Playground's CEO, said, "I was blown away by the attention that Angelina commanded while walking the carpet. All the cameras were glued to her and she handled them like a pro."
Armani has been in Los Angeles for four months, appearing in a few videos for other companies but, she said, concentrating on print work.
"Magazines have been my main focus-I'm so modelesque," she laughed. She'll be the Hustler centerfold in February and a Club cover sometime next year. Already she's attracted enough attention in the adult community that she was by no means unknown at the premiere.
"A lot of people knew who I was. But now it's only going to become ten times more," she said. "Digital Playground is the top. There's no better place to be. This is really going to work out."
A native New Yorker, Armani said she was involved in free-lance modeling back home. "Modeling brought out my sexy, sultry side. People told me there was a look of sex on my face."
Digital Playground has hit the ground running with their discovery. On Monday they're taking her along to Berlin for appearances at the Venus Show. "I'm so excited," she exclaimed. "It will be my first time out of the country. I just got my passport two days ago."
No word yet on what her first movie will be, but that should be decided soon. Joone, DP's founder and Pirates II's writer-director, said, "I can't wait to get her in front of the camera. Angelina radiates pure sexuality that will brilliantly translate to her movies and photos."
His enthusiasm is more than equaled by her own. "My career has just begun from now. Everything has opened up for me. You're going to see a lot of me."
