CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Advance industry ticket sales for the 2009 AVN Adult Movie Awards Show went on sale this week. The show will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
A limited amount of tables on the show floor will be available for adult companies wanting to seat 12. The price per table is $2625.
"Many of our customers enjoy the intimacy of table seating, so we're offering that option again," said Susan Clark, chief marketing officer of AVN Media Network. "This year's show will bring some new, exciting enhancements. We incorporated several web-based content awards into the ceremony. We're exploring some really fun entertainment venues. And we're putting together an official AVN Awards After Party. It's the one time of year that we all come together to celebrate adult entertainment at its best."
In addition, premier-seating tickets, located near the stage and available only to the industry, are sold only in blocks of 12 for $2625. Individual ticket prices range from $107 to $212 and are also available. Tickets can be purchased online at avnawards.com or by calling AVN Media Network at (818) 718-5788. Beginning October 15, additional ticket sales, open to the public, will be promoted and sold through Ticketmaster, at (702) 474-4000.
"It's exciting to think that the awards show is here again," said AVN chairman and founder Paul Fishbein. "It's been a tough year for the adult business and the nation's economy is not helping. But big movies are coming out and we think that is going to help the economics of the business. And by January, with a new president taking office, we're hopeful that we will be celebrating the business getting healthier, as well as Best New Starlet and Best All-Girl Sex Scene."
The AVN Adult Movie Awards are dedicated to recognizing the outstanding achievements in adult entertainment for the past year. All eligible movie titles for 2009 awards consideration have a street date between October 1, 2007 and September 30, 2008. Nominations will be announced in November.
