Women in Missouri watch more videos of fisting scenes than women in any other state. But women in neighboring Iowa, as well as in Michigan, have a preference for pissing. At least that’s according to the newly released annual statistical roundup from the tube site PornHub, which issued its 2019 stats on Wednesday.
The stats show that online porn remains as popular as ever, with PornHub recording 42 billion visits for the year—and more than 77,000 searches for porn on the site every second of every minute of every day, on average.
But what were porn viewers searching for? After a 2018 in which “MILF” reigned as the number one search term, 2019 saw the previous champion, “lesbian,” once again rise to the top spot.
“Lesbian” was also the top term among women—though it placed only eighth among men, for whom “Japanese” was the most-searched category.
Perhaps more interesting, PornHub data crunchers also compiled the top terms searched by women compared to those viewed by men. Leading the way, “pussy licking” was searched 269 percent more by women than men, and “solo male” was viewed 229 percent more.
While it is perhaps unsurprising that “romantic” registered more highly with women, who searched the term 130 percent more than men, women were almost as curious as men about “double penetration,” “threesome” and “gangbang,” searching those terms at 89, 88 and 85 percent of the rate searched by men, respectively.
PorhHub also broke out a chart showing regional preferences of women, by state. The chart identified the term searched by women in a specific state more than in other states. As mentioned above, Missouri women lead the way in “fisting” searches, while Iowa and Michigan women search “pissing” more than women in other states.
Other regional differences were also eye-opening, though what they might mean remains unclear. For example, women in Oklahoma and Wyoming led the way in searches for “tattooed women.” But in the chilly northern Midwest states—Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Indiana—women searched for “small tits” more than in other states.
The chart also revealed some oddities, as Virginia women showed a preference for “German” porn videos, while up in the land of Sarah Palin, Alaska, women searched for “party” videos more that any other state in the country.
The most searched-for porn star on PornHub not only among women, but site wide, was Lana Rhoadesand it wasn’t even close. But even though Riley Reid placed third in total number of searches, her videos were more popular, racking up 585 million views to 345 million for Rhoades.
Mia Khalifa, despite retiring from the adult industry in 2015 after less than a year, ranked second in searches on PornHub.
