LOS ANGELES—CAM4 on Tuesday announced the release of an anticipated improvement for performers. Starting now, performers on CAM4 will be able to create pre-determined packages of time for sale as private shows, giving the performers complete control of their private show revenue generation.
The ability to sell private shows in pre-determined blocks of time was one of the most requested features from performers on the site. CAM4 performers will also benefit from a new and improved user interface, designed to enhance the experience of selling private show time. All performers will have the option to sell private shows either by the minute or by block of time. Additional blocks of time can be purchased at any time by the viewer during the private show and an option to extend is also provided to the viewer, at the discretion of the performer.
Nikki Night, head of performer training at CAM4, said, “We are really excited about this new feature because it adds tremendous value to both performers and fans. Going private is one of the best ways to experience CAM4. It’s close, personal and intimate. You get the performer all to yourself… what could be better!? With private show blocks of time, we are empowering performers to take control of their earnings. Performers tailor the timing for each block, setting the price and offering to suit their own preferences, while viewers get full transparency on what packages their favorite performer offers for the allotted time. There’s never been a better time to go on a date on CAM4."
CAM4 continues to make strides towards helping reduce friction for performers. This week, the company announced support for Paxum as a payment option for performers, in addition to a new and improved broadcasting experience for users who want to broadcast from their iPhone.
Night added, “We are working hard to implement the most requested features from our community. We are committed to making CAM4 as easy to use and as hassle-free as possible."
