Digital Playground Novelties Seeks Director of Novelty Sales

VAN NUYS, Calif.—Digital Playground Novelties is accepting applications for Director of Novelty Sales. The world leader in high-quality adult productions launched their award-winning novelty line earlier this year. The line has received a multitude of accolades, including AVN’s 2010 “O” Award for Oustanding Powered Product.

Job duties will include opening new distributors, wholesale and retail accounts; managing and servicing existing and future account relationships; conducting in-store product presentations; communicating via phone, email, fax, webinars as needed; overseeing sales reporting, goals, strategy, etc. ; participating in industry events such as publicity events, product launches, press tours, trade shows/conferences; working collaboratively with colleagues and key internal stakeholders (DVD production and sales teams, web team, novelty team, designers); assisting and responding to all novelty sales/support related issues; helping to develop promotional and sales materials (audio, visual, text); building relationships with key publications and broad range of media outlets.

Job requirements include BS/BA degree or equivalent education and/or experience (minimum five years inside/outside wholesale sales experience); social media experience utilizing online communities and social media channels (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.); excellent written and verbal communication, execution and organizational skills; ability to document in detail all sales efforts and life cycles; strong presentation skills (knowledge of PowerPoint a plus); be a self-starter, resourceful, creative and results oriented; knowledge and passion for fashion/accessories; entertaining and travel as necessary; willing to take direction and advice; must not be shy, and be polished and professional.
