The Joy of Sex served people during its time, but Hot Sex takes things a step farther with accurate, updated information, and better graphics and photos. Filled with guidance and useful hints, this “instruction manual” is no-holds barred and the new definitive guide to sex.
Creative advice from some authoritative sexperts is presented here, accompanied by full-page, full-color illustrations that get the point across. After all, aren’t illustrations on such subjects as missionary position variants more fun than verbal descriptions?
The authors are familiar names to those in the pleasure product business. Los Angeles-based Jamye Waxman hosts seminars and workshops around North America, and she has written on sexuality for such magazines as Men’s Health and Playgirl. In her preface, Waxman notes that if the reader takes away only one sex tip, “it should be this: enthusiasm.”
Emily Morse has her own radio show, Sex With Emily, on the Sirius network and will soon be featured on Miss Advised, a new series debuting on the Bravo network. She notes in her intro, “Communication is a kind of lubricant.”
The writers each provide specific ways in which couples can hone their enthusiasm and improve communication. Ways to tease the sense, stimulate those erogenous zones and explore new positions and toys are all covered in brief, with the illustrations filling in the details.
And speaking of toys, the book is great to suggest to any shoppers new to pleasure products. The glossary and toy gallery at the back will give them plenty of ideas about what else they might want to pick up at your store.
