Paul Maginn is an associate professor and program coordinator in Urban/Regional Planning at the University of Western Australia, who is a prolific researcher of the geography of sex work. He co-edited the 2015 book “(Sub)Urban Sexscapes” along with Christine Steinmetz based on the special session he attended at the 2012 AAG Annual Meeting in New York.

Maginn led a team of academics from the US and Australia in research of the 2017 AVN Show that was focused on the views, attitudes and experiences of attendees, including fans, exhibitors and adult performers.

In 2016, he partnered with Lovehoney.com.au to analyze and map the geographical distribution of more than $10 million in sales of adult product.
