LAS VEGAS—Gino LoPinto, renowned locally as the spark behind the success of many Las Vegas clubs, brands and events, has been hired by White Star Marketing to help launch Vivid Vodka in the nation’s party capital, and then nationwide.
LoPinto is acknowledged as a master at getting the party rolling at edgy, hip nightclubs and alternative music spots in Las Vegas as an owner or marketer of such famous venues as Metropolis, Utopia, Spearmint Rhino, AM, Empire Ballroom and the Playground, which is now home to Crazy Horse 3, POSH, Harem Hookah Lounge and Sushi Avenue.
“There simply is no one who knows more about entertainment marketing in Las Vegas than Gino LoPinto, so he is the perfect choice to help launch a vodka that says fun, excitement, cool and sexy,” said Sam Marasco, president and CEO of White Star. He noted that the Vivid Vodka brand will be introduced to consumers first in Las Vegas beginning in May and LoPinto will then help roll it out nationally at top nightclubs, bars and restaurants.
LoPinto is the owner of Glo Global, a lifestyle marketing company that has operated a variety of enterprises, including glo nightclub, glo music production studio and a record label. He expanded his activities when he formed the Vegas Alliance in 2000 to handle marketing deals apart from glo activities. Vegas Alliance has organized events for Playboy, Sony, MTV, Intel, CNN and many other corporate giants and has produced some major concerts at the Empire Ballroom including Prince, Black Eyed Peas, Pink, and The Killers as well as celebrity events hosted by P. Diddy, Jaimie Foxx, Lebron James, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore.
In September of 2006 Vegas Alliance conceived and produced the first annual dance music conference in Las Vegas, which is now known as the Vegas Music Experience and is presented by Billboard Magazine.
