NEW YORK—Vivid Cabaret New York will host a pole dance competition on Thursday, May 14.
The multi-level Vivid Cabaret, located at 61 West 37th St. New York, NY 10018, features multiple stages, including a large main stage, as well as a fully stocked bar, VIP rooms, private suites, a VIP Ultra Lounge, rooftop cigar lounge, and additional amenities.
The club said the contest is returning due to popular demand and will feature performers showcasing aerial routines on Vivid’s signature 28-foot main stage pole, the tallest of its kind in the city. Judges will include comedian Matt Richards. Contestants will compete for bragging rights and cash prizes.
"Pole dancing has gained recognition as a form of athletic performance but it’s really quite awesome at Vivid,” said Vivid Girl Michelle, one of the club's dancers. “Because the girls are topless!”
“It’s thrilling to watch the girls perform on the giant pole,” said Vivid girl Katina. The fun is non-stop and there are drink and bottle specials all night."
