LOS ANGELES—Holistic sex educator and content creator Tiffany Chan (a.k.a. Dr. K or Kipani Heart) has embraced transformation in her in her latest Tiffany’s Secret Diary article, "Dark Romance Era Activated."
Chan shared the story of how a DIY hair experiment led her to switch her blonde locks to a shade of "spicy Ariel" red. "I've never truly believed that hair color could be such a powerful thing," Chan admits, reflecting on her past adventures with purple, pink, and rainbow hues. But when an attempt to refresh her highlights at home resulted in an unintended near-bleach-out, she took the opportunity to try something bold by letting her followers vote on whether she should go aquamarine or red. The majority of her followers voted red.
Chan worked with a cosmetologist to fine-tune the shade before layering it with Arctic Fox’s "Wrath." Chan revealed, "I actually feel more like myself than I have in a very long time. Like it picked up my spirits and brightened up my entire personality!"
Chan regularly explores themes of self-expression and empowerment both in her work and her personal life. She concluded, "While I know some of my followers are less than pleased with it, I also feel it's important to do things that make you feel the most at home in your own skin too. After all, you are the one living in it, you should be able to adorn it however you wish!"
