HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Adult industry performing duo Cherry and Dave Candle have been recognized with several nominations for the upcoming 2025 AVN Awards. The couple is known collectively as The Candles.
Starting their journey as amateur content creators just four years ago, The Candles transitioned into mainstream adult entertainment only two years ago.
The pair received the following 2025 AVN Award nominations:
- Best New International Starlet for Cherry Candle.
- Best Male Newcomer for Dave Candle.
- Best International All-Girl Sex Scene for "The Immortal Gift" (MixedX), starring Cherry Candle alongside Nata Gold, Clemence Audiard, and Marina Gold.
- Best International Group Sex Scene for "The Budapest Affair—Scene 4" (Sensual-X/Sssh), featuring Cherry Candle, Talia Mint, and Dave Candle.- The Budapest Affair, which starred The Candles.
Additionally, in the AVN Fan-Voted categories, Dave Candle is in the running for Favorite Male Pornstar. Fans can cast votes daily until the deadline at noon on Saturday, January 25th, 2025—the same day as the 42nd annual AVN Awards Show.
"We are really excited and happy about all the nominations we received and how our careers are progressing," said Cherry Candle.
"We feel like together we are strong, and that's pushing us to work harder and harder," said Dave Candle.
The Candles have appeared for other studios including Vixen Media’s Blacked Raw and Deeper, and Lust, among others.
This marks the third consecutive year that The Candles have received AVN nominations.
