LOS ANGELES—Director Wrex Oliver parodies the film comedy Step Brothers in his newly-released feature Step Sisters for TeamSkeet’s Family Strokes.
In the original 2008 film, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly play two aimless, unemployed leeches still living at home, who are forced to become roommates when their parents marry. Oliver's take on the film features Gal Ritchie and Aubree Valentine as insufferable freeloading stepsisters who, after their stepparents get hitched, find themselves entangled in a step-sibling rivalry for the ages. They soon find a common enemy in their horny, know-it-all stepbrother and begin to involve him in their sex games. The cast includes Shay Sights and Kelsey Kane.
“Step Sisters was such a blast to film,” Ritchie said. “I’m a huge fan of the original film so knowing all the inside jokes and doing our own spin on them was hilarious. Aubree was fab to work alongside of; such great energy. I’m so happy I got to be a part of a fun project."
Wrex agreed, adding “Working alongside Gal Richie and Aubrey Valentine was an absolute career highlight. Their comedic chemistry is undeniable. Their banter and comic timing had everyone in stitches, bringing laughter and energy to the set."
