Said Vixxen, "I don’t watch those shows expecting accuracy. I watch them to see what narrative is being pushed and how close it gets to reality."
The piece brought together working creators to react to the surge of sex work storylines across television and movies, with Vixxen pushing back on the most common misconceptions.
Vixxen added, "Mainstream media often frames [OnlyFans] as either a quick-money fantasy or a cautionary tale. The reality is much more nuanced—it’s entrepreneurship, performance, marketing, and emotional labor all rolled into one."
