LOS ANGELES—Talent Testing Service (TTS) has released its March 2026 update, showing a slight decrease in sexually transmitted disease positivity rates compared with the previous month.
Overall, the three chlamydia urine rates show similar trends over time, including a steady decline since the November 2022 peak. In March 2026, the overall rate rose to 1.1% from 0.7% with the male rate increasing to 1.0% from 0.9% and the female rate to 1.1% from 0.4%. Given that historic levels have been around 2.0%, current rates remain below that benchmark and within expected ranges.
In March 2026, the three gonorrhea urine rates moved in the same direction, reaching 0.3% from 0.2%. This month, they continue to range between 0.0 and 1.0%.
Other results for March were:
• Trichomonas vaginalis urine rates increased with the total rate at 0.6% from 0.4%, the female rate to 0.9% from 0.8% and the male rate to 0.3% from 0.1%. All were within the general range of 0.0% to 1.5%.
• Mycoplasma G. urine rates decreased, changing their direction for the first time in four months, the female rate to 3.6% from 4.9%, the total rate to 2.9% from 4.3%, and the male rate to 2.2% from 3.8%.
• The three chlamydia rectal rates decreased, the total rate to 1.0% from 1.7%, the female rate to 1.3% from 2.1%, and the male rate to 0.6% from 1.2%.
• The three chlamydia throat rates increased, the total rate to 0.4% from 0.2%
• The gonorrhea rectal lines, visible since April 2023, showed a decrease for the three rates with the female rate at 0.4% from 0.6%
