LAS VEGAS—Sex Work Mutual Aid Collective (SWAID), in partnership with Pornhub, raised over $4,500 and distributed harm reduction supplies to the Las Vegas sex worker community at its April clothing swap.
SWAID raised $2,040 in charitable donations through a raffle and silent auctions, with an additional $2,500 pledged by platinum sponsor Pornhub for their microgrant program, which provides financial aid to sex workers in need. Pornhub also contributed complimentary clothing and exclusive raffle and auction items.
The event distributed over 200 condoms, provided 50 doses of Plan B, supplied 25 NARCAN nasal sprays, and facilitated the exchange of hundreds of pieces of clothing.
Additional sponsors contributing food, auction, and raffle prizes included ArielX, Peepshow Toys, Uberrime, Mr. Hankey's Toys, Dee's Big Daddies, and Flirty Dawg.
SWAID organizer Kaiia Eve said, "Shout out to all of the sponsors and to everyone who volunteered, donated, and gave their time to make this event happen. There was a lot of time and coordinating that went into this one, and I am so proud of what we all accomplished. See y'all in the fall!"
Organizer Dahlia Von Knight added, "I had so much fun coordinating this swap with the rest of the team. We had such a great turnout, and I can't wait to plan the fall one!"
