LOS ANGELES—A new study from SWR Data reveals that Stripchat is the fastest-growing cam site in the adult industry.
Founded by MelRose Michaels and Mike Stabile, SWR said its newest report, "The Case for Camming" drew on responses from more than 550 adult creators across the U.S., U.K., and Canada. The report found that dedicated cam models were most likely to report income growth and the least likely to say earning a living in the adult industry had gotten harder. Nearly half said earning income was the same or easier than the previous year, compared with just 30% of creators focused on fan platforms.
Altogether, the platform said it grew from 13 percent of streaming creators in 2024 to 20 percent in 2025 for a 56 percent increase in a single year, driven largely by newer creators drawn to its internal traffic model and global visibility.
"Live streaming has been part of adult entertainment for decades, but the opportunity for creators is bigger than ever,” said Chase Straight, head of brand at Stripchat. “We are building the ultimate adult livestreaming platform: a modern creator ecosystem built with performers, for performers. With the world’s strongest traffic, best tools, and new ways to earn both online and offline, Stripchat gives creators something increasingly rare in today’s adult industry: stability, consistency, and direct access to an audience ready to play."
Moreover, nearly 80 percent of cammers ranked the platform's internal traffic as the single most important factor when choosing where to work: above payout percentage and content restrictions. Cam models reported significantly less disruption than any other creator category. They also ranked social media censorship as their least pressing challenge, while every other creator type surveyed identified it as their number one concern.
