LOS ANGELES—StreamPayments has joined the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) as its newest Corporate Sponsor.
Now in its 30th year, ASACP is a globally recognized, member- and sponsor-supported nonprofit dedicated to promoting online child safety by proactively helping parents and businesses protect children from online harms.
StreamPayments provides payment infrastructure, acquiring, and compliance support to help online merchants operate stable, secure payment systems.
"As a company built around online payments, we are aware of the immense opportunities available on the internet, as well as the many ways it can be used for harm. It is our responsibility to contribute to internet safety and accountability, especially for the most vulnerable among us," said Biliana Sidova, founder and CEO of StreamPayments.
Sidova added, "Protecting children online is not a side issue; it is foundational to a safer, more responsible internet for everyone. Supporting ASACP’s work was an easy decision because their values reflect those of my team and the business community we serve."
ASACP executive director Tim Henning said, "The dedication of industry leaders to safeguarding the innocence of youth while respecting adults’ choices is making a positive difference. ASACP appreciates the support from stakeholders like StreamPayments and values their efforts to build a better world."
ASACP’s sponsors and members provide free child protection tools to educators, parents, and media publishers, including Best Practices customized for various market segments and a Code of Ethics for all website and app publishers. These resources enable companies of all sizes to prevent minors from accessing age-restricted content.
Among ASACP’s most notable achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system, which prevents children from accessing adult-oriented web pages and apps and works alongside other age assurance technologies, and its CSAM Reporting Tipline, which has processed over 1.3 million reports since its inception and remains a vital global resource.
The association’s family of industry leaders, including Corporate Sponsors such as StreamPayments, is crucial in making these tools available to the broader community.
Henning concluded, "Safeguarding youth online involves more than just blocking mature content; it also requires educating and empowering the industries that work with such material. We thank StreamPayments for their support and for helping to ensure children’s online safety, and we encourage others to help us move forward."
