Sssh.com, Sexy Happy Couple’s 'Duet' Earns AVN Best Music Nom

WEST CONCORD, Mass.—Award-winning filmmaker Angie Rowntree, in collaboration with Carmen Wilson and Joe Gow of Sexy Happy Couple, earned an AVN Award nomination for Best Music for their featurette "Duet."

The nomination highlights the featurette's musical score and its central role in telling the story.

“Music isn’t just part of 'Duet'; it’s the language through which the story is told,” Rowntree said. “It shapes the narrative and mirrors the emotional connection between Carmen and Joe. Having AVN acknowledge that work is incredibly meaningful.”

The film’s original music was a collaborative effort between Carmen Wilson, Joe Gow, Angie Rowntree, and Colin Rowntree.

“Never in our wildest dreams did we think we’d be nominated for a prestigious AVN Award,” said Carmen Wilson and Joe Gow. “Legendary creators Angie and Colin Rowntree inspired us to create our intimate song for 'Duet,' and their own song made such a moving conclusion. This was an extraordinary collaboration, and we are so very grateful to the fine folks at AVN for recognizing it with a nomination!”

Angie added, “This nomination celebrates the creative energy at the very heart of 'Duet,' and having that work recognized is profoundly rewarding.”
