HOLLYWOOD, California—The executives at Smash Pictures are rightfully feeling a sense of pride now that the studio's big movie of the year, American Hustle XXX, has become a top contender in the race for the 2015 AVN Awards. The Will Ryder-directed sex parody—which features a sizzling cast that includes Aaliyah Love, Penny Pax, Carter Cruise, Luna Star, Rio Lee and Mia Austin—is one of the most nominated adult movies of the year, collecting nine AVN award nominations.
The action adventure is in contention for numerous performer awards, including Best Actress and Best Actor, as well as Best Parody. Not only do Love and Pax look even sexier than to their Hollywood counterparts Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams, but the men deliver the goods as well. Veteran porn actors Tommy Gunn, Ryan McLane and Van Wylde physically resemble the characters played by Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner, and they handle both dialogue and hardcore sex with panache.
While the main characters did the heavy lifting, Tommy Pistol, Kurt Lockwood, Eric John, Frank Bukkwyd, James Bartholet and Jack Vegas contributed mightily and added to the scope of the project giving the film the look and feel of a big winner. And a quick cameo by Will Ryder gives the director his own Alfred Hitchcock moment.
"Our goal was to create great entertainment for those who loved the Hollywood movie and it was also an objective to be in major contention come awards time, and I'm happy to say we succeeded on both fronts," stated Stuart Wall, vice president of Smash Pictures.
The pornified parody pokes fun at the mainstream movie and shows the steamy sex that was not allowed in Hollywood. Two swindlers fall in love amidst an FBI sting, but when Irving’s wife Roselyn sleeps with the mob, things get downright dangerous. Politicians, criminals and the feds clash for intrigue and plenty of graphic sex in what could be the year’s best parody.
As the AVN review states, "Smash Pictures did well to pick Will Ryder to helm its American Hustle XXX Porn Parody and Ryder has long been the king. Smash has really stepped up its parodies. Overall, the parody is deserving of prominent shelf space, and will impress fans of the original movie and the porn parody genre in general."
