LOS ANGELES—Veteran director and performer Siouxsie Q will host the “Dangerous Angels” Day Party from 1–7 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, at Somewhere Special, the rooftop bar at the Stile Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The event is free with RSVP, available here.
Presented in collaboration with Los Angeles-based author Francesca Lia Block and Somewhere Special at the Stile Hotel (929 S Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90015), the event draws inspiration from Block's beloved Dangerous Angels series, blending nostalgic beats and dreamy performances.
Guests can expect throwback DJ sets fromEthicaldrvgs and Modestpup, spinning 80s and 90s, new wave, disco and punk favorites. The event will also include a live performance from newcomer Vivi S. Fierce, along with appearances by Michael Vegas and host Siouxsie Q.
Inspired by Block's modern fairy-tale aesthetic, highlights include an "angel" kicking off the festivities at 1:11 p.m., followed by go-go angel boy August Rain welcoming guests to the checkerboard dancefloor surrounded by tropical plants, and a Jayne Mansfield look-alike contest at 3:33 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive "heavenly dressed" in their best glam, glitz, vintage, punk, mermaid, starlet, fairy, and faun-inspired looks.
For those seeking esoteric opulence to their afternoon, VIP table and bottle service guests will also receive a personalized tarot reading and a rare fantasy paperback by Block, courtesy of Paperback Hunt.

"The Dangerous Angels series changed my life, and I know that's true for so many other people out there,” Siouxsie Q said. “I’m always chasing that sense of wonder, everyday magic, and fierce community in everything I do, and this party is my way of crystallizing that into an immersive afternoon experience; I’d be honored to have you come be a part of it.”
