Segpay Marks 20th Anniversary After Its Biggest Year Ever

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—Digital payment processing firm Segpay is celebrating its 20th anniversary while it marks the completion of its biggest year ever with a 15 percent increase in its overall transaction processing volume in 2024.

The company credited its record year to new merchants taking advantage of Segpay’s Payment Facilitator Platform, increased acceptance of PayPal, and existing clients increasing their volume.

Segpay is also celebrating its 20th anniversary of finding solutions to benefit its merchants.

“This past year, Segpay focused on several solution offerings, including adding new pay-by-bank options, including SEPA, and launching the new Segpay Gateway,” the company said in its announcement.

To help its merchants better understand the requirements of Visa’s latest compliance regulation, the Visa Integrity Risk Program (VIRP) Segpay and its senior team hosted its first educational webinars this past year. Understanding Visa’s Integrity Risk Program with Segpay was held to educate merchants on how to navigate the new compliance regulation.

Both sessions were well attended and can still be seen on Segpay’s YouTube Channel. Segpay also continued its education series with three new animated videos: "Meet Segpay’s Tech Support Team," "Getting More from Existing Customers," and "The Segpay Payment Gateway."

“We want to help our merchants be successful in every way we can and continue to look for new and innovative ways to get them paid,” said Segpay CEO Cathy Beardsley. “We are so proud of the accomplishments we’ve made over the last twenty years and can’t wait to see where the next twenty take us.”
