MONTREAL—Director Nica Noelle returns to one of the first series she created for gay adult studio Icon Male with Prisoner of War 2. Now available on DVD, the erotic World War II drama is the follow-up to Prisoner of War, released in 2014.
Distributed by Mile High Media and both written and directed by Noelle, Prisoner of War 2 stars Sam Truitt, Alexander Gustavo, Trent Ferris and Ty Roderick.

Icon Male's plot synopsis reveals that the second volume follows sadistic German officers Dieter and Heinrich as they capture hot American soldiers John and Charlie. When the U.S. comrades won't give up Army intelligence, the Nazis make use of the helpless studs for their own pleasure. Just when it seems all hope is lost, it appears the careless Germans have actually played into the young Americans’ hands because all is fair in lust and war.
“I love this series because I'm a big World War 2 buff, and in general period piece films are my favorite to make,” Noelle said. “This one was particularly fun because of the cast. I had no idea that Alexander Gustavo was capable of performing a flawless German accent when I cast him, so that was a wonderful surprise. Beyond that, Alexander really channeled his character. He improvised a lot of dialogue during the sex scenes, and I almost dropped my camera I was so taken aback by his performance.”
Noelle continued, “I love to cast Ty Roderick in my army films because to me he's the quintessential tortured hero. He'd been asking me to write him more complex characters for him, so I wrote a set-up between him and Trent Ferris that would really test his acting skills. Ty is blindfolded and tied up in the sequence so he had to do all of the acting with his mouth and his voice—he literally had nothing else to work with. He really pulled it off.”
Icon Male and Noelle released the debut volume of Prisoner of War in October 2014, and the movie helped put the studio on the map as a producer of high-quality, story-driven gay erotica. XCritic.com reviewer John Boy wrote, “I highly recommend this movie. Nica Noelle knows how to mix together hard-bodied men, military uniforms and sparse prison cells and end up with one hot fuck flick that will turn on every one of your senses.”
