LAS VEGAS—Nina Nova is featured in the BBC documentary series Sin City: The Real Las Vegas, hosted by investigative journalist Tir Dhondy, who explores the realities of modern Las Vegas and how the city’s rebranding is leaving behind the people who make it compelling.
In episode 2, Nova discusses her start in the adult entertainment industry, what it’s like providing companionship in Sin City, and the realities that sex workers face under current laws.
The documentary also focuses on the battle for prosecutorial immunity in Nevada, which failed in 2025 due to law enforcement opposition. Prosecutorial immunity would have granted criminal immunity to those engaging in illegal sex work when reporting a medical emergency or a crime.
“Sex worker representation in media matters, and to get the chance to share my story on a global stage—the significance of that is not lost on me," Nova said. "I hope my story illuminates the realities that—in particular—full service sex workers face, and the importance of us porn performers’ allyship to all our erotic laborer siblings.”
“Sin City: The Real Las Vegas” is streaming in the UK on BBC IPlayer now.
