CHICAGO—Shanna Brooks, better known to her fans as Nickey Huntsman, headlined two comedy shows this weekend for Admiral Theatre’s “Exposed: Comedy After Dark,” marking the venue's first live comedy performances.
Huntsman delivered high-energy shows the theater described as a blend of storytelling, quick wit, and her signature humor.
“Nickey absolutely killed it,” said Mike Dickinson, Regional Director for Pony Clubs and the Admiral Theatre. “Launching our first comedy show with two packed performances proves that Chicago audiences are ready for something different. 'Exposed: Comedy After Dark' is exactly the kind of unique entertainment experience we want to bring to the city.”
The Admiral Theatre, long recognized as one of Chicago’s most iconic nightlife venues, introduced live comedy to its programming, with more shows featuring additional comedians and special guest planned in the coming months.
“Chicago brought the energy,” Huntsman said after the show. “Two packed shows for the very first Exposed: Comedy After Dark—that’s how you start something big.”
Dickinson agreed, adding: “This weekend showed us the potential. We’re excited about building this into something Chicago hasn’t seen before.”
The Admiral Theatre is located at 3940 W Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625. For more information, call (773) 478-8263.
