LAS VEGAS—Newcomer Blake Jones stars in "Silent Strangers," now streaming on Dirty Cinema.
Directed by Dick Chibbles and Jack Vegas, the video features Jones as a deaf young woman who, along with a Russian man (Peter King), is trapped inside a shipping container aboard a ship. They’re trying to exist in a small space, and communicating isn’t easy. They gradually find ways to connect as they sleep, eat, drink, read, and dance. “Blake was a featured performer on the site earlier this year in the poignant ‘Not Yet’ and really proved her acting chops," said site owner King, who also wrote the script. "In ‘Silent Strangers,’ she takes on a new role that’s another character outside of herself and kills it again. This short feature is a departure for both of us and ends with a new beginning.”
