Cyan noted, "We've had so many fantastic people. Every pro Domme you've heard of has been there. I don't know anyone I can ask for that hasn't already been there. There's so much up-and-coming talent. We've got new people coming to the classes. There's still stars of tomorrow that will be coming in the next year or two."
Tanek asked for advice for new pros and lifestyle kinksters visiting the convention for the first time.

Cyan assured, "Don't be intimidated and attend the socials. The socials are where people let their hair down and be themselves. Introduce yourselves. New Orleans is down-to-earth people. They're really lifestyle people that are looking to connect, make friends, and play."
Tanek inquired about what makes DomCon New Orleans stand out in compared to other events, including the DomCon Los Angeles expo.
Cyan explained, "NOLA has what's called the second line parade. We congregate outside the hotel on Friday evening. We have a marching band and police escort. We have about 200 people in fetish gear, holding floggers, carrying pictures of people who have passed. It's about a half-mile parade that marches through the French Quarter. It really showcases our community and our kink, and it's a way of remembering those we've lost. DomCon is the only show I'm aware of that does this."
