The new scene picks up the morning after the scandalous ending of Episode 3, as bratty Mia Simone is ready for another lesson in lesbian love—and her devious stepmom, Mindi Mink, is ready to give it to her. Writer and director Lincoln, who helmed the scene, said he wanted to break the usual tropes of taboo and lesbian play—and it happened almost by mistake.
“We were setting up in another room for the fourth scene,” Mink said, “Lincoln just happened to look down the hallway and see that gorgeous window light through the slats. He said to Mia and I, ‘We just have to shoot in there.’” Mink noted that the mostly ad-libbed scene that followed turned out to be a perfect segue into the next installment of the series.
