Marica Hase Interviewed by Daily Sport UK
LOS ANGELES—Marica Hase looks back on 26 years in front of the camera in a new interview with Daily Sport UK.
In the article, titled “Midweek 5 Minutes with Marica Hase,” the starlet discusses the unlikely beginnings of her modeling career, her move from Japan’s adult industry to the U.S. and some of the passions that she says, keep life interesting.
Hase tells writer Miles Moore that, shortly after graduating from school, she landed a fashion magazine cover and discovered that the camera brought out a unique side of her that everyday life did not. Now 26 years into modeling and 17 years into her adult career, she reflects on becoming one of the first Japanese adult performers to establish herself in the U.S.
“At the time, I was very shy, but I felt much more comfortable in front of the camera than I did away from it,” Hase told Moore. “So I decided, ‘No matter what, I want to live my life in front of the camera.’ And now, I’ve ended up working as an international.”
The interview also gives readers a glimpse of Hase away from the camera, including her love of wrestling, former wrestling lessons, and affection for both Japanese food and “big juicy American food.” Asked for an unusual fact about herself, Hase said, “I’m a two time cancer survivor, a longtime porn star, and the first and only Japanese Penthouse Pet in the USA.”
