JustFor.fans Founder Dominic Ford Featured in Boyslut Zine Series

LOS ANGELES—JustFor.fans (JFF) founder Dominic Ford discusses the origins of his fan-subscription platform and his experience in the adult industry in a new Q&A with writer Zachary Zane for the Boyslut zine series on Substack.

In the article, titled “JustFor.fans Creator Dominic Ford is Revolutionizing Fan Sites for Both Performers and Viewers,” Ford discusses launching JFF in 2018 as a more equitable way to give performers greater control over their content, income and connection with fans.

“If a model filmed something when they were 20 years old and, when they’re older, wants those films removed, there is nothing they can do about that because they signed that right away to the studio… I constantly thought, ‘How fair is this, and what can be done?’ And the answer was: fan platforms,” he told Zane.

Ford also reflected on the importance of building a company shaped by the community it serves. “JFF is gay-owned and operated,” he explained. “My entire staff is queer, with many trans and nonbinary employees. All of my staff are models on the website. This tremendously informs how we act, how we treat our user base, our model base, how we give back to the community, and how we’re constantly looking for ways to give a voice to those in this community who have, until now, been voiceless.”
