LONDON—JOYclub, Europe's largest online community dedicated to respectful sexual exploration, has launched a year-long sex education livestream series.
Led by JOYclub's in-house sex educators Gigi Engle,Lisa Opel, Sub in the City, and Rory Ropes, the series explores topics ranging from kink literacy to shibari workshops, performances, erotic literature readings, and power dynamics. Additional educators, including Bx Sassy, Eugina O’Liberty, and Alexandra Houston, are also slated to lead streams on striptease, body confidence, fetish clothing, and more.
The series addresses questions such as how to ask a partner for STI test results without fear, what happens inside a dungeon, how consent operates in 24/7 power dynamics, and how curiosity, kink, and care can coexist safely and responsibly.
JOYclub also sheds light on some lesser-known kinks such as mummification, sex doll experiences, and dom/sub dynamics.
The livestreams began this January with foundational sessions on kink literacy, fetishes and consent in BDSM, before moving into deeper explorations of dom/sub dynamics and BDSM practices for beginners. Spring and summer sessions include practical workshops and performances focused on Shibari safety and dungeon preparation, while later sessions turn toward sexual health communication, kink spaces, exploration, and inclusive pleasure narratives. During the sessions, members are able to ask questions and interact with the educators through the platform’s chat function. With this series, JOYclub positions itself as a host for long-form, peer-led education at a time when oversimplified conversations about sex dominate online conversations.
“We’re not just teaching techniques, we’re nurturing a cultural shift. When adults are given the tools to explore their desires without shame, they build deeper connections, better boundaries, and bolder joy," said JOYclub expert Lisa Opel. "JOYclub’s livestreams invite people to grow not just in skill, but in confidence, compassion, and community. This is sex education as it should have always been: inclusive, intelligent, and infused with pleasure."
The new sex ed program comes as a new report shows that adults across the UK are still in need of sex education, as poor curriculum in schools leaves many sexually active Brits with sex ed gaps that translate in poor sex literacy and curiosity. Moreover, The Herald warns about the knowledge gap that is left among adults if sex education is not taught extensively in the classroom. Another study shows how around 46 percent of adults in the UK are unable to answer basic questions on topics such as anatomy, menstruation, and sexually transmitted infections, while another 12 percent experience anxiety in the bedroom.
'With hit sex-positive media products such as Heated Rivalry and Pillion booming in late 2025 and 2026, adults deserve to be given shame-free sex education that celebrates their curiosity and desires," JOYclub said. "Questions around consent, communication, pleasure and alternative relationship dynamics are no longer niche, yet remain largely unanswered by formal education systems."
