HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Multi-award-winning director Jim Powers has garnered multiple AVN and GayVN nominations for his work across gay, straight, and trans genres, including an AVN nod for Best Directing Portfolio – Varied Range.
Powers’ Vampirella-inspired Transpirella from Gender X Films earned AVN nominations for Best Trans Movie or Series, Best Trans Acting Performance for Ariel Demure, Most Outrageous Sex Scene for "Satanic Orgy and Hellish Takedown," and Best Art Direction.
Powers' trans work also earned Best Trans Group Sex Scene nominations for Gender X’s "My First Trans Lover – Scene 2" and "Trans Orgy," as well as Transfixed's Throuple's Retreat, and a Best Trans One-on-One Sex Scene nod for Transfixed’s "Creampies on the Mind."
Powers' work for Devil’s Film earned him a Best Tag-Team Sex Scene nomination for "Visiting My Anal In-Laws 2 – Scene 3," starring Anna Claire Clouds, Vince Karter, and Will Pounder.
The GayVN Awards also recognized Powers for his scene work, nominating him for Best Bi Sex Scene for two BiPhoria releases: Bi Feelings and Secretly Bi 2.

The 2026 GayVN Awards, hosted by Drake Von and Tony Genius, will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The AVN Awards are set to take place on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026.
