Jewels Jade Talks Boundaries, Longevity & Success

LOS ANGELES—Jewels Jade reveals she’s learned many lessons during her more than two-decade career in adult entertainment—namely what defines her success.

“When you’re younger, success can feel tied to recognition, accomplishments, or milestones,” Jade explains. ‘As I’ve gotten older, success means freedom. To me, it means having choices and creating a life you’re proud of.

“I’m building something that lasts beyond any single moment or achievement.”

Jade loves setting goals and working toward them, whether it’s fitness, business, writing, or personal development.

“I enjoy challenging myself,” she says. “I’ve learned that consistency beats motivation every time. Motivation comes and goes. Consistency is what changes your life.”

It’s that kind of attitude that has contributed to her multi-faceted career on and off the set. As the industry has changed, she has adapted and thrived.

Jewels takes pride in that “I’m still here, still growing, and still enjoying what I do.”

“This industry changes constantly. To adapt, evolve, and remain true to yourself through all of it is something I’m very proud of,” Jewels adds.

Another important aspect of Jade’s career in adult are the standards she maintains and the boundaries she set.

“They’re everything,” she continues. “People sometimes think boundaries hold you back, but I’ve found the opposite to be true. Boundaries create confidence and longevity. And your ability to voice them, protects you.

“Every successful person needs to decide what aligns with their values and what doesn’t. I’ve always worked to build a brand that reflects who I am as a person, not just who I am professionally.”

The former Penthouse Pet, published author and entrepreneur explains one of the best things a new starlet can do is “create a plan.”

“Know your goals and communicate your boundaries,” Jewels says. “And understand that saying ‘no’ is often just as important as saying ‘yes.’

“I believe a lot of new performers feel pressure to do everything immediately because they’re worried opportunities won’t come back around. The truth is that your career is a marathon, not a sprint. Protect your mental health, your reputation and your peace. Those things become incredibly valuable over time.”

In fact if there was anything she could tell her younger self now it would be to “trust yourself sooner.”

“There were moments where I knew something wasn’t right for me, but I worried about disappointing people or creating conflict,” Jewels admits. “Looking back, I wish I had trusted my instincts more. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that you can be kind while still standing firm in your boundaries.”

Despite her glamorous image, Jade assures that she’s not always “on.”

“People see confidence and assume that means life is easy. The truth is everyone has challenges,” Jewels says. “I have Misophonia, which means certain sounds affect me very strongly. Things like chewing, gum smacking, or crunching ice can completely distract me. What it’s taught me is that everyone is dealing with something. We just don’t always see it.”

When she’s not on the set or creating, “honestly, I’m probably much more normal than people expect.”

“Most mornings start with taking care of my animals. I have two dogs, two cats, and a chinchilla. I also feed the neighborhood birds and even a squirrel that visits my property every day," Jewels says. “I’ve always found happiness in simple things. Creating a peaceful home, taking care of the people and animals I love, and finding balance outside of work has always been important to me.”

The biggest key to her longevity comes down to one important thing, Jade adds.

“Knowing who I am. Sounds simple, but it’s incredibly important,” she reasons. “There will always be people telling you what you should do, how you should look, what opportunities you should take, or how you should run your career.

“The performers who last are usually the ones who stay connected to themselves. I’ve never tried to be anyone else.”

Jade adds that she’d like to be remembered for the fact that “I stayed true to myself.”

“I’ve been a Penthouse Pet, written books and built businesses,” Jewels says. “I’ve achieved things I once only dreamed about. But if people remember one thing, I hope it’s that I never stopped being myself. Because at the end of the day, that’s what lasts.”
