ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—Adult star Jessica Ryan is set to attend FetishCon (aka FetCon) in St. Petersburg, Florida, August 7-10.
For its 23rd year, FetCon brings together hundreds of top bondage, fetish and adult models, vendors and exhibitors for lectures, workshops and demonstrations, the 5th Annual Bondage Battle, the 17th Annual George Pérez Superheroine Showdown, a private Twisted Dungeon space and exclusive Pervy Pool Party.
“The last time I attended FetCon was in 2013, when I was brand new to the industry,” Ryan said. “Like a kid in a candy shop, I found a seat among the fetish community, and some of my longest-standing friendships came from that trip. Since then, like a curious cat, I’ve woven in and out of the fetish world. Ropes, chains, whips, wrestling, mud—every sensory indulgence one could use to electrify themselves and others. I’ve had the honor of shooting for Kink.com, Club Dom, Femdom Empire and more. I’ve always wanted to dive deeper—but never half-heartedly. So while I’ve dabbled, I’ve been careful not to falsely assert myself as a domme.
“While recovering from a broken hand, I finally found myself still enough to follow a rabbit hole," she continued. "I hosted a rope class with Tim Woodman—partly to learn myself, and partly to give others the same opportunity. After stumbling upon Tara Indiana’s many classes and Jewel Marceau’s impeccable rope work, I knew I wanted more. Serendipitously, I met Sir Nik while out on an errand—right as I was quietly seeking a mentor. While talking about something entirely different, we zeroed in on his alter ego—a respected figure and whipmaster in the community. I love whips and knew he was the mentor to dig deeper with. And while still healing—what better physical therapy than something that brings me joy?
“For me, kink and porn are two sides of the same coin—both physical, but where porn satisfies the body, kink engages the psyche. I chuckle when people say things like, 'Something must be wrong with the kink community—sex alone is adequate for me.' I’ve nearly done everything I’ve ever wanted to do, and as that list gets shorter, I realize just how much more the world has to offer. As I push the extremes of my porn bucket list, it’s clear my mind craves more than what the carnal side of the adult industry can provide.
“Prepping for my trip to St. Petersburg to reunite with old friends and make new ones, I’m packing toys aplenty,” Ryan concluded. “I’ll be filming with skilled fetishists and indulging in warm poolside nights all week long. The beginning of this journey has been a slow burn—12 years in the making. I’m stoked to circle back for FetCon 2025.”
