LAS VEGAS—Veteran adult performer Roxxie Moth released a new erotic short story this week through Itch.io, titled Weapon Flawless in Design.
Moth, whose work as a performer, director, and screenwriter has been nominated for awards including AVN’s Best BDSM Movie in 2022 and Best Trans Series in 2023, has ventured into fiction writing with an erotic science fiction-horror story published under the pen name Lance Harlow Moth.
Weapon Flawless in Design follows a cybernetically-enhanced transgender zombie slayer named Uriel who hunts monsters on horseback while harboring a secret craving for blood from the woman who created her. The story, which spans 20 pages in print, is available as an e-book for free or pay-what-you-want on creator marketplace Itch.io.
Moth worked in news writing before entering the adult industry as a performer in 2018 and a director in 2020, but says publishing fiction has always been a goal of hers. She has a gothic horror/sci-fi novelette titled Transfiguration slated for release at the end of the year, but wrote Weapon Flawless in Design while preparing the larger project for publication.
Said Moth, "Writing has been a hobby of mine since I was a teenager, mostly science fiction and horror, but I’ve never had the free time or platform to feel comfortable sharing that part of myself. Somehow, having my writing critiqued by strangers feels so much more personal and intimidating than being naked on camera, so I hope people like it."
