HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Veteran porn director Vic Lagina has earned a 2025 AVN Awards nomination for his book, Filthy! The Rise and (Pending) Death of Vic Lagina in the Mainstream Venture of the Year category. This nomination celebrates Lagina's transition from producer and director to author, chronicling his 20-year porn career and its aftermath.
Said Lagina, "It's an honor to be nominated amongst such wonderful and talented people and to share the stage during the industry's most prestigious event. I am under no illusion that I will win this award as I am not as popular nor beautiful as Angela White, nor do I have the social following and notoriety of Stormy Daniels. Unfortunate, because my acceptance speech would be memorable. While this is not my first nomination, I am grateful to be noticed outside of the Porn Monopoly's shadow in an achievement I can call my own."
Between 2004 and 2020, Lagina was a producer, director, and camera operator for Brazzers/Mindgeek. Over his entire career, he produced 3,792 scenes for top-tier brands, including Brazzers, Mofos, Wicked, Babes, and Digital Playground. Lagina worked with over 1,500 performers, orchestrating up to 35 scenes per month with live productions featuring icons such as Nikki Benz, Phoenix Marie, and Shyla Stylez.
