'Fans Only 2' Wins Urban X Award's Most Popular Porn Documentary

LAS VEGAS—Fans Only 2: Dreams, Fame, Desire, a documentary offering a personal look at the adult industry industry, has won the Urban X Award for Most Popular Porn Documentary.

"I’m absolutely thrilled that Fans Only 2: Dreams, Fame, Desire has now been recognized by two major awards within the adult entertainment industry. To have won an award at the XRCO Awards and now receiving the Best Documentary Award at the Urban X Awards is an incredible honor. I believe this demonstrates that a documentary about the adult entertainment industry can be recognized for its filmmaking, storytelling, and human content, rather than simply its subject matter. We set out to make a film that looked beyond the stereotypes and allowed the people involved to tell their stories as human beings, and I’m incredibly proud that the industry itself has embraced the documentary in this way," said Joel Van der Molen, director and executive producer.

"What an honor to be recognized for the work we put into the Fans Only documentary—most importantly we wanted to show that there are some amazing people in this industry and change the perception of the industry. I believe the documentary does just that. I want to thank Urban X for the recognition and additionally Joel Van der Molen, Billy Lamug, James Bartholet, and the cast for their trust and commitment to the project," said Tommy Gunn, performer and producer.
