LONDON—Eroticon 2017, a U.K.-based event for erotic writers and creatives, has released its speakers schedule for the upcoming event.
Eroticon 2017 takes place March 4-5 in Camden, England. The event features three days of talks, workshops and demonstrations designed to inspire and educate attendees.
Among the confirmed speakers is Dr. Kate Lister, aka @WhoresOfYore, who will run talks on the history of erotica as well as how to build a following on Twitter. American adult performers Jasmine and King Noire will run their unique Steel and Stilettos fitness class. Jasmine, who is also experienced in sociology and social work will also lead a session on the adult industry for people of color. Emily Rose Yates, BBC3 presenter and accessibility consultant, will speak about her work with sex and disability charity Enhance The UK.
These speakers will join some of the most popular sex bloggers, erotic writers, journalists and activists, as well as sponsor companies from around the world.
Confirmed sponsors for the event include The Rabbit Company, Doxy, Hot Octopuss, Freedoms Shop, Godemiche, Ruby Glow by Tabitha Rayne, and Ceramic Pleasures. Leading cam site Chaturbate is contributing to the food budget to keep attendees well fed and watered throughout the weekend. Although stand space is now sold out for Eroticon 2017, there are still opportunities to connect with writers by contributing to the event budget or ticket pool.
The Eroticon Team, which consists of established sex bloggers Molly Moore, Michael Knight and Girl on the Net, are focused this year on making the conference accessible to as many people as possible. So for companies who want to support the event, individual sponsorship could be a good option.
“Many companies wanted to support us, but didn’t have the budget to sponsor a stand,” girl on the Net said. “We’ve been busy connecting them with writers who need help to cover their ticket cost or travel to the event. If you haven’t already been approached by a blogger, we’re happy to connect you to someone. You’ll get a credit on the Eroticon site as well as the chance to build a relationship with an influential writer who could be your champion for years to come.”
There are still some Eroticon tickets available; weekend tickets cost £170 for individuals, £200 for companies, and day tickets are £105. Details at Eroticon.co.
