Ellis Camino Wraps Production on 'Mr. Pynk'
LOS ANGELES—Production has wrapped on Mr. Pynk, the upcoming adult feature written and directed by Ellis Camino, which pays homage to a similarly-named character in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs.
The the movie tells the story of petty criminals committing a robbery and then enduring its aftermath.
For Camino, the feature is something more ambitious than a loosely themed parody.
"The film draws inspiration from the sharp dialogue, heightened characters, crime-story tension, visual swagger, and nonlinear attitude associated with classic pulp filmmaking while maintaining its own identity inside the adult entertainment world," producers said. "The objective was simple: Make an adult film that feels like an actual movie. That meant building recognizable characters, creating dramatic visual setups, placing greater emphasis on lighting and framing, and surrounding the performances with a story audiences can follow from beginning to end."
