LOS ANGELES—Elegant Angel won three awards, including International Studio of the Year, at the 2025 Doppio Senso Night Awards, which were held on May 18.

Silver Linings, a collaboration between Elegant Angel and Adam and Eve Pictures, won the award for Best International Comedy Movie. Directed by Claudia Ross, the movie stars Dharma Jones as a young woman finding love across two different timelines.
Axel Braun’s Compulsion 20th Anniversary Director’s Cut was presented with the award for Best International Editing. Braun’s noir dominated the 2004 awards season and has seen renewed interest following its re-release last year.
Said Braun, who earlier this year won the AVN Award for Best Editing for the same release, "Everything I’ve ever done was driven by passion—but no project was more of a labor of love than revisiting Compulsion twenty years later. A heartfelt thank you to Chura, Colin, and everyone else at Elegant Angel for giving me the chance to revisit a chapter of my life I remain deeply connected to."
Braun also won the Riccardo Schicci Award for his lifetime body of work. "It feels a little strange to receive an award in Italy—the country where I was born and raised—for a career I built entirely on the other side of the world," shared Braun, who also received the first XRCO Lifetime Achievement Award last Sunday.
Braun added, "But the truth is, I brought to America a passion, a joy, and a zest for life and laughter that are profoundly Italian. And it’s exactly those qualities that gave me the strength and determination to succeed. Thank you to Doppio Senso Night for honoring my career and for your constant support through the years."
