Corn Telethon With Siri Dahl Raises Over $16,000 for SWOP, SWAID

CYBERSPACE—The second annual Corn Telethon, a 12-hour live-stream fundraiser held on September 4, raised over $16,000 for Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) Los Angeles and Sex Workers Mutual Aid (SWAID) Las Vegas—exceeding last year's total.

The full stream can be watched on Mistress of Ceremonies Siri Dahl's YouTube channel.

Dahl and her co-hosts—Noelle Purdue, Zariah Aura and Nicky Zeal, Codi Vore, and Ryan Keely—were joined by guests for a variety of Y2K-themed activities, including a game of Chubby Bunny, Von Dutch trucker hat bedazzling, and teen mag horoscope readings.

Guests also discussed threats not only to the adult industry but to all forms of creative expression not approved by the architects of Project 2025, who have already set their plan in motion through age verification laws (full of unintended consequences) and internet censorship, according to Corn organizers.

Said Dahl, "I'm so proud of what we achieved with this year's Corn Telethon. Not only did we raise a ton of money for sex worker mutual aid, but the behind-the-scenes vibes on set honestly felt like a big slumber party. There was a real sense of community amongst the (I'm not even sure of the exact number) 75-ish people who were involved in this production. It means a lot to me to have the opportunity to foster that kind of solidarity and community, especially when we had people from so many segments of the entertainment industry showing up to support the causes of defending free speech and sex workers' rights. I'm riding high from the success of the event, and I'm so deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication put in by our whole team. I can't wait to do it all again, even bigger and better, next year!"

Despite some serious moments reminding everyone why Corn Telethon exists, a good time was had by all, including Kat Toledo, who showed up on time despite being stuck inside a duvet cover, E. Streetcar and Liam Lorde leading a live TTRPG in-studio, and more.

There was a variety of guests from all areas of entertainment and gaming, including but not limited to (in no particular order): Ron Funches, Adam Conover, Gwen Adora, Niko Stratis, Tom Scharpling, Madeleine Goldstein, and more at CornTelethon.com

The Corn Telethon production team includes co-founders and co-executive producers Dahl, Alex Steed, and producer Madelynn Britt.
