AUSTIN, TX—CineKink will present a screening of sex-positive and kink-friendly films as past of Austin, Texas’ premiere BedFEST Cinema Night, taking place Friday, September 20th, at 8pm. The evening, along with all three nights of BedFEST, will take place at popular Austin live music, performance, and events venue, The North Door.
"Our last show in Austin was standing-room only, and I'm looking forward to presenting a shiny, new collection of kinky films to such an enthusiastic crowd," said Lisa Vandever, co-founder and director of CineKink. "I'm also excited to be working with the amazing women behind BedPost Confessions. They've done so much to expand our conversation around sexuality, I'm proud to be part of their event."
BedPost Confessions is a live, monthly storytelling show in Austin, Texas, showcasing “Smart. Sexy. Stories.” This year, the group presents BedFEST, scheduled for September 19-21, a three-night anniversary showcase of BedPost Confessions events, films, cabaret, and more, for the Austin sex-positive community.
"BedPost Confessions is thrilled to host Lisa Vandever and CineKink as part of BedFEST,” says BedPost Confessions Producer and Co-Founder Julie Gillis. “We believe wholeheartedly in the power of stories to start conversations and shift beliefs around sexuality and gender. Presenting stories in a cinematic form, especially in a town that loves film, is a great opportunity.”
Gillis added, “What we love about CineKink’s selections is the variety - they run the gamut from funny, provocative, and tender, to hot, thoughtful, and poignant. We know our audience will thoroughly enjoy the evening, and we are honored to help CineKink celebrate their 10th anniversary!"
The CineKink program at BedFEST, including award winners and audience favorites culled from the most recent edition of the annual CineKink NYC festival, will feature 50 Seconds of 50 Shades (Bo Blaze), Impact (Mollena Williams), Rift (Keith Hodder), Ritual (Jörg Fockele), Zucht Und Ordnung (Jan Soldat), Taken (Aven Frey, Gala Vanting, and Frank Ly), Jose (Will McCord), Certified Organic (Olivier Bonenfant), and Pinecone (Michael Markham). The evening will also include selections from Polari, an Austin-based LGBTQI film festival.
Tickets for the screening are available at the door for $10. Advance passes for the full three-night showcase, which includes priority seating, may be purchased via Eventbrite. The North Door is located at 501 Brushy Street, Austin, TX.
