BERLIN—CineKink is doing some serious pond-hopping this month, with screenings in Australia, Germany and Australia again. Sandwiched between several nights in Oz, screenings of sex-positive and kink-friendly films will take place this Sunday, October 27, as part of Pornfilmfestival Berlin. The screening begins at 7:15pm; attendees will also be invited to a “Meet the Programmers” event Saturday, October 26, at noon.
"We absolutely love returning to the great smut extravaganza known as Pornfilmfestival Berlin," said Lisa Vandever, co-founder and director of CineKink. "The festival has done so much to expand our conversation around sexuality in Europe. I'm extremely proud to have CineKink’s selections as a part of their event."
Pornfilmfestival Berlin showcases the most innovative, risk-taking visionaries from film, photography, performance, music, the art scene, porno-land, and even porn karaoke, to challenge the genre of erotic film. All works form a collection of uncensored responses to the social and aesthetic questions of how we represent ourselves as sexual beings. The curation of diverse talent ensures a wide spectrum of interests and points of view.
Pornfilmfestival Berlin seeks to harness these developing attitudes and trends by inviting artists, photographers and filmmakers whose work invokes sex, curiosity, desire, fantasy and satisfaction in its own right.
The CineKink program at Pornfilmfestival Berlin, including award winners and audience favorites culled from the most recent edition of the annual CineKink NYC festival, will feature 50 Seconds of 50 Shades (Bo Blaze), Naked Love: Ea’s Garden (Sarah Koppel), Impact (Mollena Williams), Rift (Keith Hodder), Elenore Makes Love (Ryan Balas), Jose (Will McCord), Certified Organic (Olivier Bonenfant), Krutch (Clark Matthews), and Pinecone (Michael Markham).
Also part of Pornfilmfestival Berlin will be a screening for CineKink 2013’s award-winning dramatic feature, Remedy, on Friday, October 25 at 7pm, with an additional screening on Saturday, October 26 at 1pm. Based on filmmaker Cheyenne Picardo’s personal experiences in the world of professional domination and submission, Remedy received an Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature at the New York festival.
Tickets for the Pornfilmfestival Berlin screening are available at the door for $10. Advance passes for the full three-night showcase, which includes priority seating, may be purchased via here.
The Berlin screening comes after a successful one-night Australian premiere for CineKink in Melbourne, with additional screenings held in various down-under cities over the next several months.
The 2013 CineKink Festival Tour is made possible by sponsors Crystal Delights, KinkyMedical.net, Leather Archives and Museum, National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, njoy, and Takedown Piracy.
Currently in the midst of celebrating its 10th anniversary year, CineKink is accepting solicitations from other cities and venues that are interested in hosting screenings during the remaining 2013 and the 2014 tour seasons, and has also officially opened its doors for sponsors and new works for its 2014 festival, to take place in February.
