SAN FRANCISCO—Trans-led indie studio Chelsea Poe Productions has earned back-to-back AVN Awards nominations for Best BDSM Production, with Good Girl now nominated for the 2026 AVN Awards.
The consecutive nominations mark a major milestone for founder, director, and performer Chelsea Poe, who has spent more than a decade building a body of work that centers queer and trans desire within high-impact, cinematic BDSM.
“Having Chelsea Poe Productions nominated two years in a row in Best BDSM is honestly surreal,” Poe said. “I came into this industry as a trans girl with no blueprint and very few people who looked like me on screen, subbing in BDSM films."
Released by Chelsea Poe Productions, Chelsea Submits 3: World Tour, the first release nominated in 2025, showcased Poe taking submission across borders and cultures, combining intense power exchange with location-based storytelling and visible, negotiated consent.
The 2026 nominee, Good Girl, is Poe’s first major feature amid efforts to reclaim ownership and control of her catalog. The film centers on obedience, praise, discipline, and emotional intimacy through a trans lens, framing submission as an act of choice and self-definition rather than erasure.
“'Good Girl' was made at a time when there was so much chaos off-set, and shooting was such an important outlet for me,” Poe explained. “Every scene was filmed with freedom in mind; it’s about what happens when a submissive gets to own her story both on and off camera."
