LOS ANGELES—The erotic short movie Carmilla, directed by Alessandro Carnevale (a.k.a. Alex the Monkey) and recently awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Venus International Erotic Film Festival, has become the most-viewed scene on both Benefit Monkey and Lezkey.
Carmilla is a reinterpretation of a classic piece of erotic-horror literature, set against the backdrop of modern-day New York City, produced under Benefit Monkey’s Lezkey brand.
The success of Carmilla extends beyond just views. On Instagram, lead actresses Melody Marks and Amy Douxxx have fueled conversations among fans with promotional posts and behind-the-scenes content. Marks recently shared a promotional photo, encouraging her followers to watch and share the scene to help it gain recognition at the upcoming AVN Awards.
"I really hope we win," Marks wrote in her post.
Douxxx has also expressed her excitement over the response from fans, helping to create support that’s pushing Carmilla into the spotlight.
